Frequently Asked Questions

No, StreamRTC provides complete functionality through WeChat Official Account and Mini Program. Simply search ‘Cube Unite’ in WeChat and tap ‘Mini Program’ to get started.

Only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi routers are supported. 5 GHz is not supported. 2.4 GHz provides better signal coverage for IoT devices.

Please refer to the Get Started guide for device pairing instructions.


To share a device with others:

  1. New user follows ‘Cube Unite’ official account and completes registration in mini program
  2. New user taps ‘Me’ → ‘Bind Phone’ to complete phone binding
  3. Device admin selects device → ‘Device Management’ → ‘Share Device’ → ‘Authorize New User’
  4. Enter the new user’s phone number and confirm
  5. New user accepts the invitation in mini program

Admin only: Open mini program → Select device → ‘Device Management’ → ‘Device Info’ → ‘Device Name’

Admin only: Open mini program → Select device → ‘Device Management’ → ‘Firmware Version’

Open mini program → Select device → ‘Device Management’ → ‘Unbind Device’

The device needs to be re-paired. After re-pairing, the original admin and shared users will be invalidated. Please re-share if needed.


I’m not receiving notifications, what should I do?

Section titled “I’m not receiving notifications, what should I do?”
  1. Go to ‘Cube Unite’ Official Account → ‘Message Settings’ → ‘Enable Message Notifications’
  2. Tap user icon → ‘Settings’ → ‘Do Not Disturb’ → Turn off

Make sure your device supports remote viewing. If supported, use admin account:

  1. Open mini program → Select device → ‘Device Management’ → ‘Enable Remote View’
  2. Select online time period

Completed pairing but not receiving messages?

Please check:

  1. Did you change router or Wi-Fi name/password? If yes, re-pair the device
  2. Did you pair with another phone? Use ‘Share Device’ function instead
  3. If neither, please contact customer support

If using AP mode pairing fails, try these settings:

  • Settings → Cellular: Turn off ‘Wi-Fi Assist’
  • Or temporarily turn off ‘Cellular Data’ during pairing
  • Settings → WeChat: Enable ‘Local Network’
  • Settings → WLAN → More WLAN Settings: Turn off ‘WLAN+’
  • Turn off ‘Network Acceleration’
  • Settings → WLAN → Advanced Settings: Turn off ‘WLAN Assistant’
  • Settings → WLAN → Network Assistant: Turn off ‘Dual WLAN Acceleration’, ‘Data Network Acceleration’, etc.
  • Settings → WLAN → WLAN Assistant: Turn off ‘Smart Connect Best WLAN’, etc.
